She was the older sister of the architect Michael Kidd SUTTON. She was the landscape architect of choice for the design of the gardens of Harold LE ROITH's domestic designs. Was a founder member of the Institute of Landscape Architects of South Africa in 1962. Her personal archive was digitised and is available on UCT’s Ibali platform as an online repository.
