Recorded as a principal in the firm DUNCAN, GILL and ADENDORFF in conjoining with the partnership formed in the 1930s, DUNCAN and GILL, characterising the firms of the post-WW2 years of the 1950s which was an era of start-up architectural offices 'with small builder, estate agent, private developer clients' (Chipkin 2008:115).

In 1959 he is recorded as a absentee salaried member of the ISAA of address Overseas Visitor's Club, 3 Templeton Place, Earls Court, London, England. In 1969 he is recorded as of address 507 Union Castle Building, Loveday Street Johannesburg.
