Architect

The partnership in London between WN DUNN and R WATSON from 1890 until 1916. They took over James MacLaren's practice, in whose office they had both been working as assistants at the time of MacLaren's early death. Among MacLaren's clients was Donald Currie for whom they continued to work, designing 'some large buildings in Cape Town' (Dunn, RIBA Jnl 19 feb 1916:143, 144) at least two of which were the Union Castle building in Adderley St and the Mount Nelson Hotel.
