At the age of 17 GLEN started working for Franklin K KENDALL, Cape Town representative of Sir Herbert BAKER, under Pat SHILLINGTON.

She writes "I decided architecture was not for me, and switched over to Quantity Surveying instead at twice the pay but not the same cultural interest."
