Born 15 Aug 1904 in Johannesburg. Trained at the Durban School of Art, 1921-1924; holder of various scholarships for art and pottery, 1922-3 (Technical College, The Natal Mercury, 24 February 1922 p. 5; Natal Technical College, The Natal Mercury, 11 April 1923 p. 6).

Co-founder of the Ceramic Studio. Worked there from December 1925 - 29 October 1926. Left the Studio to marry Reginald Cullinan, son of Sir Thomas Major Cullinan. Returned briefly in 1931 to work on fittings for "Sunlawns". (Diary)
