Janos Lenard was responsible for the design of the Main Railway Station in Cape Town as the Chief Architect of the in-house Building Services Section in the Chief Civil Engineer’s Department of the then SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS AND HARBOURS (SAR&H). He returned to Hungary from Johannesburg in about 1993.
