GILDARD, Robert Jonas

Gildard was closely associated with Tait Conner and Henry Mitchell, went out to South Africa and worked there with Conner and Sir Herbert Baker; he had previously worked in the Edinburgh City Architect's Office under Robert Morham on the Fire Station. He also exhibited a sketch design for a public hall at the RSA in 1900.

He was recorded as a member of the South African Society of Architects in Cape Town in 1902.

There is an entry for him on Dictionary of Scottish Architects.
