Also spelt GISELAIRE, and perhaps also GLISSIERE. Gisseleire was of Belgian origin, appointed as draughtsman to the DPW of the ZAR in 1896 at a salary of £350 per annum where he worked until 1899. In the South African War he was recorded by the British as being 'dangerous' having helped plan a military camp at Waterval and deported with his wife and four children in 1900 (Ploeger, 1990: 38-9).
