Born in Geneva, Switzerland, son of Wilfrid Archer Bonnici (bookkeeper) and Martha Bonnici nee Zingg (music teacher). Came to South Africa in 1948. Educated at CBC, Bloemfontein. Married 1955 12 03 to Hilda May Gunn with whom he had a daughter. In 1959 he was recorded as a salaried member in the service of Paulus VISSER. By 1965 he had formed the partnership VAN JAARSVELD and BONNICI with Fanie VAN JAARSVELD. President of the Orange Free State Institute of Architects (1963-1964).
