Green studied Architecture in the Transvaal and graduated with a diploma from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1932. When he registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1936 his address was c/o COOK & COWEN, Johannesburg. He was in partnership with AR HARRIS in Johannesburg from February 1937 until December 1938 (cf HARRIS & GREEN), and then formed a partnership with M HERMER (cf GREEN & HERMER) in Johannesburg, dissolved in 1946. In 1959 his address was 507 Alris Building, corner Rissik and Albert Streets, Johannesburg. By 1969 he had retired and resigned from the ISAA in 1972.
