'Harvey was working as an architect in Pretoria by 1889 and was still listed in Pretoria in 1899. He advertised himself in Barnes's Transvaal Almanac and directory 1889 as an architect and draughtsman (p. 153); he was also listed as Reed-Harvey under draughtsmen in the same directory.
