A French Jesuit priest who arrived in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in 1894 and who designed churches for the Roman Catholic community in both South Africa and in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in Gothic Revival style, Leboeuf designed the Roman Catholic cathedrals in both Salisbury (Harare) (1924-5) and Bulawayo (n.d.) as well as the Dominican Convent in Salisbury (Harare) (1902). His name is also found spelt Le Boeuf. (Grahamstown Guide.
