When he registered with the Institute of South African Architecture in 1936, Leers was living and working in Johannesburg. In 1941 he was listed as one of the architects working for KALLENBACH, KENNEDY and FURNER. He died in Johannesburg and his ashes are in the Braamfontein Cemetery. ISAA 1936.
