Was born in Mauritius and married in Durban (n.d.). Nothing is yet known of his training but he worked as an architect in Durban from 1925. No buildings by him have so far been identified but he bought the Hulett house, then known as Kew House (14 Nuttall Gardens, Durban) and the land surrounding the house in 1929, subdividing the land. It is likely that he was responsible for turning the house into the Kew Hotel since alterations to the house were made in 1931 for him (the original architects being STOTT & KIRKBY in 1905). He does not appear to have been a member of the Institute of South African Architects. He died at his home at 192 Innes Road and is buried in the Stellawood cemetery. One M. Loumeau designed the statue of a governor of Mauritius, Sir John Pope Hennessy, in 1908.
