Hopetown se tweede kerkgebou was blykbaar net 'n verbouing in 1857 van die eerste, eenvoudige bousel van 1854. 'n Aardbewing het die gebou in 1911 so beskadig dat dit gesloop is. (Morné van Rooyen) Hopetown's second church was apparently just an alteration in 1857 of the first, simple building of 1854.
