Die ou NG kerk Zeerust is in 1957 gesloop om plek te maak vir die nuwe kerk. Dis op 31 Oktober 1897 ingewy, sonder 'n toring. Op die vooraand van die Eerste Wêreldoorlog is die kerk van 'n toring, nuwe galery, klankbord en elektriese beligting voorsien waarna die gerestoureerde kerk in die namiddag van 18 April 1914 plegtig ingewy is. (Morné van Rooyen) The old DR church in Zeerust was demolished in 1957 to make way for the new church. It was inaugurated on 31 October 1897, without a steeple. On the eve of the First World War the church was provided with a steeple, new gallery, sounding board and electric lights after which the restored church was officially inaugurated in the afternoon of 18 April 1914.
