JS BURG designed more than a dozen buildings for the CSIR in the late 1950s, considered to be of his finest designs. The triangular gates at the entrance to the CSIR were designed in 1959 and presented to the CSIR by Burg as a sign of gratitude for the work. There have been a number of buildings added to the complex over the years.
