Vanaf sy stigting op 26 Augustus 1927 was die nuwe gemeente hulpbehoewend. Aanvanklik het lidmate kerk gehou in 'n ou saaltjie, wat Fordsburg geskenk het, totdat die gemeente sy eie kerk (sonder 'n toring) gebou het op 'n stuk grond op die hoek van Kite- en Eerste Straat op die grens tussen Vrededorp en Cottesloe, wat van die stadsraad Johannesburg ontvang is. Die kerk is omstreeks 1935 ingewy. Omstreeks 1950 is die toring opgerig en 'n nuwe dak, plafonne, ligte, tapyte ens. aangebring. In dié tydperk bou die gemeente ook 'n nuwe saal met 400 sitplekke langs die kerkgebou met toerusting vir jeugwerk en 'n projektor vir rolprentvertonings. 2017: Die gemeente is by Brixton ingelyf en die kerk huisves nou die Lam Rim Buddhist Centre. (Morné van Rooyen, Oktober 2017) From its foundation on 26 August 1927, the new congregation was destitute. Initially, members held church services in an old hall, which Fordsburg donated, until the congregation built its own church (without a tower) on a piece of land on the corner of Kite and Eerste Street on the border between Vrededorp and Cottesloe, which was received from the Johannesburg city council. The church was inaugurated in about 1935. About 1950 the tower was erected and a new roof, ceilings, lights, carpets etc. installed. During this period, the community also built a new 400-seat hall next to the church with equipment for youth work and a projector for film shows. 2017: The congregation was incorporated into Brixton and the church now houses the Lam Rim Buddhist Center.
