Click to view map Coordinates: | Was the hall of the Congregational Church. When Rennie inspected the building in 1978, it was part of E Sacks, Futeran and Co and had been converted to a warehouse. The Fugard Theatre opened here in 2010 but closed in March 2021 after it was hit hard by the Covid-19 epidemic. The building reopened in June 2022 as an extension of the District Six Museum’s Homecoming Centre which is located next door. The two auditoriums of the Fugard were renamed the Star Theatre and the Avalon Auditorium, after the former bioscopes of District Six. Books that reference Fugard Theatre
