"at the end of Mentone Road". Home designed by Quail (architect and quantity-surveyor), plans signed off by Walgate & Elsworth. Next to home of his business partner Alfred Babbs. Quail built a special studio at his house for his ill daughter, the sculptor Wynne Quail. Wynne created the reliefs on the Sanlam building, cnr Wale & Burg Streets in Cape Town.
