Hoevers (2005:7) ascribes the design to BISSET as does Fransen (2004:549) with FREEMAN as builder. Menache (2010:83) ascribes the design to FREEMAN. Roodt (1987:145) writes that JE VIXSEBOXSE was responsible for dismantling and re-erection of the tower in 1919.
