House C Derenish
Belgravia, Kimberley, Northern Cape

Daniel Westwood GREATBATCH: Architect
Date:c1900
Type:Homestead
Status:Unknown

A similar house [to House T Ennor], though slightly more ornate in detail, was built a few months later [in 1900] for C. Derenish, also in Belgravia. The innovation in this house was that the bathroom led off from the two main bedrooms; draughtily, a third door led down steps, out to the garden! (Picton-Seymour 1977:394-5)
