Originally part of Christian Brothers’ College (CBC), The Lier and The Masker theatres, together with the other CBC buildings, were acquired by the University in 1968. In 1969 the Masker theatre was presented to the Department of Drama and was converted into a theatre for an audience of 240 people and equipped with basic lighting and audio facilities.
