BENNETT, Robert Colin Cosmo

Architect

Nothing is yet known about Bennett's training. When he registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1937 he was working for the DURBAN CORPORATION, Architectural Division. Before the Second World War he left the Corporation to work for PATON & TAYLOR Partners in Durban. He was a member of the Natal Provincial Institute of Architects and enlisted for active service in 1940. He returned to Durban and to practice after the war, becoming a partner in the firm of PATON, TAYLOR, WILLIES & BENNET.

In 1959 and again 1969 his practice is recorded as of address 403 Union Club Buildings, Smith Street, Durban.
