Died: 1888 05 09 Architect Apears to have been a civil engineer and entrepreneur working in Port Elizabeth from about 1860. In about 1862 he invited GW SMITH into partnership (cf PINCHIN & SMITH). The partnership continued until Smith left for Australia in 1868. Pinchin and Smith worked again in partnership from 1881 until Pinchin's death in 1883 (Heroldt gives the date as 1888). Pinchin Lane in Port Elizabeth was named after him.
