SMITH, Joseph Andrew

Architect

Was born in the Cape Province and was educated at Wynberg High School, near Cape Town; his training is obscure. He married in 1904 and 'travelled extensively in several parts of the Southern Hemisphere' (South African Who's Who 1931-32). He entered into partnership with his son LI SMITH (cf SMITH, JA & LI), where he was still recorded of their address of the Standard Bank Chambers, Main Road,Wynberg, Cape Town in 1959.
