Reg Prob RIBA 1923-4 Fish Hoek, Cape; ISAA 1927; ARIBA 1937 Was possibly born in Cape Town where he was articled to WH GRANT for five years from 1921. He also studied at the Cape School of Architecture from its founding in 1921 and later at the University of Cape Town on the inclusion of the school into the University. In 1926 he left to spend a year in Edinburgh with Dick, Peddie & Walker Todd, travelling on the continent and visiting Rome, Florence and other places. He also visited South America and Australia before returning to South Africa in 1927. He rejoined the office of WH Grant, and passed the RIBA examination held at the University of Cape Town in 1935. At the time he was resident at Heydon, Avenue Protea, Fresnaye, Sea Point and became an Associate member of the RIBA in 1937. Their daughter Valerie Elize Stewart was baptised in East London in Dec 1935. He died in Cape Town and was buried in the Maitland Cemetery.
