It was at some stage the Picardie Hotel and belonged to Springbok rugby player and businessman Jan Pickard. Became the Paarl Hotel in c1989 [Die Burger 20-09-1989]. Now La Roche Apartments. A new facade was done by SR Immelman. (Paul VAN DER MERWE, 2015)
