Click to view map Coordinates: | (Langham-Carter MS:25) Wealthy businessman and politician John Bardwell Ebden (1787-1873) bought a portion of the Ekelenberg estate in 1835, and built a house which he named 'Belmont'. The property remained in the Ebden family until it was sold to the Marist Brothers in 1917, to become the new home of St Joseph's College. The house still stands, and is now used as the school's main administrative building.
