Given the important nature of this premier TB research lab, our concept was to complement the precise functions taking place within the building, with a comfortable work environment in a landmark building. Pre-cast concrete façade panels are punctured to complete the DNA code of the TB causing bacterium which inspired the design. These openings are filled with coloured glass, creating a light, poetic interior that contrasts the seriousness of work occurring therein.
