KALLENBACH and REYNOLDS

Established: 1904?

Architect

The partnership between H KALLENBACH and A REYNOLDS was first listed in the Longland's Transvaal directory (1904). The two were in partnership from at least 1903 as a case 'Levoy Brothers versus Percy Wright and Kallenbach and Reynolds' is recorded in the Transvaal Archives for 1903 and several buildings by the partners date from 1903 although in the 1903 directory Kallenbach was, however, still listed in partnership with one PHILLIPS (cf. KALLENBACH & PHILLIPS). Longland's Transvaal and Rhodesia directory (1903) was the first directory for Johannesburg to be published after the Anglo-Boer War and was not very accurate. The partnership between Kallenbach and Reynolds appears to have continued until about 1907 or 1908 when nothing more was recorded of Reynolds.
