About halfway up the terraces of the Union Buildings, the Delville Wood War Memorial is a tribute to South African troops who died during the First World War as well as a plaque in memory of those that died during the Korean War.

This is a replica of the Delville Wood South African National Memorial designed by Sir Herbert BAKER, with sculpture by Alfred Turner, in Delville Wood, France. It stands in the grounds of the Union Buildings. There is another replica in Cape Town.
